Cardinals will celebrate Senior Day
 With the ACC Championships on the horizon, the No. 14/10 University of Louisville swimming and diving teams are gearing up for their final test of the dual meet season as they prepare to welcome the No. 3/7 Indiana Hoosiers to Ralph Wright Natatorium on Friday at 2 p.m.

Friday's top-25 showdown will serve as Senior Day for Louisville. Prior to the start of the meet, the Cardinals will honor the team's seven seniors – Carlos Claverie, Todd Owen, Johnathan Zoucha, Paige Ezell, Rachel Grooms, Lauren James, and Hannah Magnuson.

Last time out, the Cardinals split a tightly contested dual meet against in-state rival Kentucky. The Louisville men won nine races en route to their 10th consecutive victory over the Wildcats with a score of 168.5 to 131.5. They were led by Daniel Sos, Andrej Barna, and Claverie, who each recorded multiple individual victories. Sos won both the 100 back (49.31) and 200 back (1:46.11), while Claverie swept the breaststroke races with a time of 54.92 in the 100 distance and 2:00.11 in the 200. Barna secured wins in both sprint events, posting a time of 19.89 in the 50 free and 44.29 in the 100 free.

In the diving events, Daniel Fecteau led the way for the Louisville men with second place finishes in both the 1-meter (335.63) and 3-meter (361.43). Freshman Daniel Pinto also had a solid day for the Cardinals, securing a third place finish in the 1-meter with a score of 309.98.

The Louisville women registered six victories against Kentucky, but ultimately fell to the Wildcats in a hard-fought 161-139 decision. Mallory Comerford led the Cardinals with two victories, touching first in both the 100 (49.21) and 200 (1:46.53) free. Sophomore Casey Fanz headed the Cardinals 1-2-3 sweep of the 50 free, collecting the win with a time of 22.93. Grace Oglesby also picked up a win for the Cardinals in the 200 fly, stopping the clock in a time of 1:59.35.

Michaela Sliney and Molly Fears led the charge for the Louisville divers, recording a 1-2 finish in the 1-meter. Sliney earned the top spot with a score of 277.20, while Fears was second with a 269.78. Fears also placed second in the 3-meter with a score of 306.68.

Indiana most recently completed a sweep of Purdue in their final home meet of the season. The third-ranked Hoosier men downed Purdue in dominant fashion (206-92), remaining undefeated in head-to-head competition and extending their dual-meet win streak to 21 straight. Four of the Indiana men earned double victories. Ali Khalafalla won the 50 (19.68) and 100 (44.10) free, Vini Lanza took the 100 (47.34) and 200 (1:46.11) fly, and Ian Finnerty swept the breaststroke events with times of 52.72 in the 100 and 1:57.06 in the 200. Rounding out the multi-event winners was Gabriel Fantoni with first place finishes in both the 100 (46.86) and 200 back (1:44.91).

The No. 7 Indiana women defeated Purdue 176-123, led by Lilly King with three individual victories in the 100 breast (1:01.36), 200 breast (2:10.61), and 200 IM (2:01.29). Ali Rockett also captured wins in multiple events, touching first in the 50 free (23.13) and 100 back (53.13). Standout diver Jessica Parratto placed first in both the 1-meter (345.45) and platform (350.33).
