Cardinals return home after two straight road games
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Coming off their 1-0 win over Southeast Missouri, the University of Louisville women's soccer team will return home to host the Purdue Boilermakers on Friday evening. The Cardinals have now won two straight road contests and are 5-1 on the season.

Freshman Emina Ekic, the reigning ACC Offensive Player of the Week, is leading the scoring effort for the Cardinals. Ekic has recorded four goals and one assist for nine points so far this season. Senior Alison Price has scored two goals and one assist for a total of five points on the season.

In goal, redshirt freshman Gabby Kouzelos holds a 0.83 goals against average through six matches. Recording her third shutout of the season against Southeast Missouri, Kouzelos has registered 13 saves for the Cardinals.

Head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes is in her 18th season with the Cardinals. She has led Louisville to four NCAA tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2011.

SCOUTING PURDUE
The Boilermakers enter Friday's matchup with a 4-1 record and have recorded three straight shutout victories. Through their three-match winning streak, the Boilermakers have defeated Indiana State (6-0), DePaul (2-0), and Dayton (2-0). They also recorded a 2-1 victory over Kent State in their season-opener, and their sole loss of the season came against Loyola Marymount (2-1). Friday's contest will be Purdue's first road match of the season.

Redshirt senior Maddy Williams leads all scorers for the Boilermakers, recording three goals and four assists for 10 points through five matches. Hannah Melchiorre and Andrea Petrina have also scored three goals each. In the net, freshman goalkeeper Katie Luce has complied an 0.842 goals against average along with 16 saves on the season.
