LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's golf team concludes its regular season this weekend, when it heads east to compete in the Clemson Invitational from Friday through Sunday in Sunset, S.C.
Louisville, one of 17 schools in the three-day event, will play at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, a par-72, 6,260-yard course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The field consists of 11 schools in Golfstat's top 50, including No. 43 Louisville. On an individual basis, according to Golfweek's rankings, 13 of the top 50, and 23 of the top 100 players in the nation will be in action.
Tee times begin at 8 a.m. ET each day. On Friday, Louisville's first tee time is at 9:30 a.m. ET on hole No. 1.
The Cardinals will utilize a lineup of Olivia Cason, Lauren Hartlage, Jacqueline Twitty, Molly Skapik, and Shannon Gramley, with Meghan Nay participating as an individual.
Louisville last played at the Briar's Creek Invitational and finished ninth out of 18 teams, with a 15-over-879. Cason paced the team with a 3-under-par 213, tying for third, while Twitty scored an even-par 216 to tie for 14th.
On the year, Hartlage leads the Cardinals with a 73.08 stroke average, 12 rounds even or below par, and five top-10 finishes. The freshman's scoring mark currently ranks third in a season, trailing Cindy LaCrosse (72.23 in 2008-09) and Laura Restrepo (73.06 in 2015-16).
Cason has the second-best average at 74.92, with three top-10 finishes, and Skapik is carrying the third-best mark at 75.56.
