Men's Swimming Finals Three and Sets Two School Records in Day 4 Prelims

Harting and Tarasevich set new school marks.
The University of Louisville men's swimming team made two A finals and a B final and set two school records after the final day of preliminaries at the 2017 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI.

Zach Harting set a school record in the 200 butterfly with a 1:41.77 and finished third in his heat. He will be back tonight in the B final of the 200 fly where he is seeded third. Freshman Etay Gurevich won his heat with a 1:43.83 in the 200 fly holding off all challengers down the stretch. Josh Quallen put up a 1:44.88 to finish fourth in his heat. Jarrett Jones finishes 7th in his heat with a 1:46.28.

Carlos Claverie made the A-final seeded 7th in 1:53.45 in the 200 breaststroke.

Grigory Tarasevich put up a 1:38.74 to win his heat in the 200 back. He qualified fourth and sets a new school record. Aaron Greene finished sixth in his heat of the 200 backstroke with a 1:41.70!

In the 400 free relay, Matthias Lindenbauer (43.66), led off, followed by Trevor Carroll (42.41) to Grigory Tarasevich (43.09) with Zach Harting (42.45) anchoring to post a 2:51.61.
