Cards are in sixth after two days
INDIANAPOLIS – The Cards continued their record setting week as the University of Louisville swimming and diving teams broke three school records during day two of the NCAA Women's Championship finals at IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI.
Â
"Very proud of how we raced as a team today," UofL head coach Arthur Albiero said after day two. "Anytime we are breaking school records at NCAAs, it says a lot about our focus and preparation. To break five school records is special, and many of the freshmen playing major roles on our relays. All our energy and focus now shifts to tomorrow morning's session."
Â
In the first event of the finals, Louisville finished in sixth in the 200-free relay as Lainey Visscher (22.37), Mallory Comerford (21.21), Avery Braunecker (22.13), and Casey Fanz (21.81) posted a school record time of 1:27.52. California took home first with a winning time of 1:25.59.
Â
Another school record fell as Comerford took down the record she set in the 500-free prelims with a time of 4:36.16 to finish fourth in the event. Katie Ledecky of Stanford posted a time of 4:24.06 to take home the top spot.
Â

Kendzior's 52.06 time in the 100-back was also a school record. Standford won the event, boarding a time of 3:26.35.
