
Lacrosse Hosts Duke in ACC Home Opener on Saturday

Cardinals face No. 13/17 Duke at Noon at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse team is set for the ACC home opener at noon against No. 13/17 Duke on Saturday at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
The Cardinals (6-2, 0-1) are coming off a 9-7 loss at No. 7 Notre Dame over the weekend. Sophomore Meghan Siverson and Senior Hannah Koloski both scored two goals in the contest. Juniors Madison Hoover (1g, 1a) and Jillian Balog (2a) both captured two points for the Louisville cause. Junior keeper Brittany Read stopped a career-high 16 shots in the game.
Siverson (28g, 3a) has 31 points and Koloski (29g, 1a) has 30 points through eight games to lead the way for the Cardinals and rank 11th and 13th, respectively, nationally. Siverson ranks sixth nationally, averaging 6.63 draw controls per game. Brittany read has 89 saves on the season to rank second nationally and a .556 save percentage to rank sixth nationally, while only allowing 8.65 goals per game.
The Blue Devils enter the matchup with an overall record of 4-2 and a conference record of 0-2. Their losses have come to No. 7 Notre Dame and No. 20 Virginia Tech.
Duke is averaging 13 goals per game, while allowing 9.17 goals per game. Kyra Harney leads the way with 10 goals and 10 assists this season.
