
Taylor Bucklin Named to the 2016 All-ACC Academic Women's Soccer Team

Bucklin earns second straight All-ACC Academic honor
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville senior Taylor Bucklin was named to the 2016 All-ACC Academic Women's Soccer Team as announced Tuesday by Commissioner John Swofford. This is the second straight honor for Bucklin.Â

Bucklin, started all 18 matches for the Cardinals this season. She finished the season with a 1.05 goals against average and recorded three shutouts on the season. She played 1714:00 minutes and had 72 saves, finishing with a 7-7-4 record.Â

Bucklin recorded a season-high with nine saves against Notre Dame and NC State. She finished her career with a 1.02 goals against average and 146 saves. Bucklin finished with a record of 13-13-5 with eight shutouts.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
