Lacrosse Hosts Rival Cincinnati

Cardinals face Bearcats on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at UofL Lacrosse Stadium
LOUISVILLE, Ky. --The University of Louisville lacrosse team takes to the field for a midweek tilt against rival Cincinnati on Wednesday, March 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium. The game is a Pink Out and fans are encouraged to wear pink.Â

The Cardinals (5-1) are coming off a 13-9 win over Brown on Saturday in Orlando, Fla. Senior Hannah Koloski scored six goals for the second straight game to lead the team, while Meghan Siverson had four goals in the contest. Junior goalie Brittany Read logged 11 saves in the victory.

Siverson (22g, 3a) leads the team with 25 points and is currently ranked eighth in the country in draw controls with 6.83 per game. Koloski (23 g, 1a) has 24 points while McKayla Conti rounds out the top three scorers with 16 points from 14 goals and two assists. In goal, Brittany Read leads the team with a 5-1 record and an 8.70 goals against average. She leads the country in saves with 60 on the year and has a .526 save percentage, ranking her 15th in the nation. Â

Cincinnati (1-2) is coming off their first win of the season, a 17-16 decision against Campbell. The Bearcats tallied the game-winning goal with one second remaining in the game. Monica Borzillo leads UC with a balanced attack of eight goals and seven assists for 15 points. Amanda Donovan and Katie Stegmann both have four goals and two assists for six points.

Louisville leads the all-time series 9-0 with the Cardinals taking last season's contest 11-7 in Cincinnati thanks to Koloski's five goals.
