Mia Schmidt-Jorgensen falls in the Championship match.
Cardinal Mia Schmidt-Jorgensen battled Andrea Pascual Larranga of Evansville to three sets before falling 6-0, 3-6, 6-1 in the championship match of the B-flight singles of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Sunday afternoon on the campus of Middle Tennessee University.

Schmidt-Jorgensen was the last Cardinal standing after four days of competition. On Saturday afternoon, Schmidt-Jorgensen beat EKU's Margaux Lacroix 6-4,7-5, 6-2. In the semi-finals, she faced Helena Kuppig of Austin Peay, a seeded opponent, and won 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.Â

On Friday, in the B-Flight Singles, Schmidt-Jorgensen beat Tennessee State's Abhilasha Vishwanath of Tennessee State 7-5, 6-3 before besting Thabile Tshatedi of Lipscomb 6-2, 7-5.
