.• The No. 7/10 ranked men's and women's swimming and diving teams are preparing for the ACC Championships which will be held Feb. 13-16 (women) and Feb. 22-25 (men) in Atlanta.Â
Breakout Quotes: "This whole year we have done a great job keeping the momentum rolling. This time of year it is super important and crucial when we are going into ACCs and NCAAs that we take that momentum with us. Hopefully we will qualify a bunch of swimmers for NCAAs too. This is just a very crucial point of our season. All the dual meets we have been winning, the times we are putting up, it makes us super excited about what is to come. We have our goals but I feel like we can even exceed them." – Senior Andrea Cottrell, USA Team Member
"This season has been all about us growing as a team together. Every day, step by step, lap by lap, day by day we are working for a common goal. We are as close as a family. I am just excited to go to ACCs." – Freshman Casey Fanz Â
Â
• The women's tennis team carries a 4-0 record into the weekend when the Cardinals welcome Eastern Michigan and Liberty to the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on Friday and Sunday respectively.
Breakout Quote: "Being in the ACC given us national exposure and now when I ask people in California, on the East Coast, in Texas about Louisville tennis, they know it is a pretty good program. We feel good about that. My two seniors, Olivia Boesing and Elle Stokes, have been a big part of the transition. It is a bit of a grind and every year these two have been a big help. They are a big part of us being a very good program." – Head Coach Mark Beckham
