
Gabrielle Vincent Named ACC Defender of the Week

The Louisville sophomore earns her first ACC Weekly Honor
University of Louisville sophomore defender Gabrielle Vincent was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. It is the first ACC honor for Vincent.
Vincent totaled seven points for the week on three goals and an assist in 4-0 wins over UAB and Toledo last week. She scored her first career hat trick against UAB with goals in the 32nd,72nd and 84th minutes leading the Cardinals. On the defensive end against, the centerback helped hold the Blazers without a shot for the entire game while Louisville secured the shutout.
Two days later against Toledo, Vincent found Alison Price in the 21st minute for the second score of the game. She also blocked a few shots in front of the box as Louisville earned its third straight shutout of the season.
