
Women’s Golf’s Olivia Cason Tied for 11th at NCAA Championship

Olivia Cason registered five birdies in the first round of the NCAA Championship.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville freshman Olivia Cason is tied for 11th after the first round of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship following a remarkable 2-under-par 70 on Friday in Eugene, Ore.
The Owensboro, Ky., native totaled five birdies on the day at the Eugene Country Club, tied for the second most in the 132-player field. She completed her seventh round even or below par this season and is set to tee off Saturday at 3:55 p.m. ET.
After the opening the day with a par on No. 1, Cason tallied her first birdie on No. 2, a par-4, 355-yard hole. She added another birdie on the front side, putting her at 1-under-par through nine. She then birdied two of her first four holes on the back nine and capped the day by chipping in for birdie on No. 18, a par-4, 400-yard hole.
