
Taylor Bucklin Named to the 2015 All-ACC Academic Women's Soccer Team

LOUISVILLE, KY. -- Louisville junior Taylor Bucklin was named to the 2015 All-ACC Academic Women's Soccer Team as announced Tuesday by Commissioner John Swofford.

Bucklin, an All-ACC selection, started 13 games for the Cardinals this season after transferring from Michigan. She finished the season with a 0.98 goals against average and recorded five shutouts on the season. She played 1199:51 minutes and had 74 shutouts, finishing with a 6-6-1 record.Â

Bucklin earned ACC Defender of the Week honors after leading the Cardinals to an undefeated week with a 2-1 overtime win over then No. 1 North Carolina and a scoreless draw against Duke. She finished the week with a 0.43 goals against average and 18 saves, including eight against the Tar Heels and a career-high 10 against the Blue Devils. For her efforts, the junior was also named TopDrawerSoccer.com's Player of the Week.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
