Cardinals will face a fifth straight ranked opponent
LOUISVILLE, KY. -- The University of Louisville women's soccer team will  visit the Virginia Tech Hokies in Blacksburg, Virginia at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Â
ABOUT THE CARDINALSÂ Â
Louisville will try to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to No. 13 CLemson on Sunday afternoon. This was the just the second loss in ACC play for the Cardinals this season.Â

Brooklynn Rivers leads the Cardinals with 11 points. Â She has four goals and three assists on the year. Â Gabrielle Vincent enters the game second on the team in points with three goals and two assists, while Jill Vetere and Allison Whitfield each add two goals and three assists on the year.Â

Taylor Bucklin leads the Cardinals in goal with a 7-4-3 record and five shutouts on the season. Â She has a 0.806 goals against average, allowing only 13 goals. Â She also has 54 saves on the year. Â Â Â Â

Head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes is in her 17th season with the Cardinals. She has guided Louisville to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2011.
SCOUTING VIRGINIA TECH
 Virginia Tech is coming off a 3-2 double overtime victory over Boston College on Sunday in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.  Murielle Tiernan led the way with two goals, including the winning goal in the 109th minute.

 Virginia Tech is led by Murielle Tiernan and  Alani Johnson who have scored seven and six goals on the season respectively. Laila Gray leads the team in assists with four and has added a goal of her own.

Goalkeeper Mandy McGlynn leads the Hokies in goal with a 10-4-1 record and four shutouts on the season. She also has 57 saves and a 1.25 goals against average.

Head coach Charles "Chugger" Adair is currently in his sixth season with the Hokies. He has guided Virginia Tech to the NCAA tournament every year season thus far. He has also posted a school record 19 wins and went to the College Cup in 2013. Before his stint in Blacksburg he worked as an assistant for the UC Santa Barbara women's team.
SERIES HISTORY
 Louisville leads the all time series 3-1-1 over the Hokies. The Hokies won the last meeting 3-0 in Louisville in 2014.  Â
