LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's golf team is set to compete at the Cougar Classic from Sunday through Tuesday following more than a two-week break in Hanahan, S.C.
The Cardinals, who are slated to tee off at 8 a.m. on Sunday, face a 20-team field at Yeamans Hall Club, a par-72, 6,224-yard course. Teams, which also begin action on Monday at 8 a.m., play 18 holes each day and begin with a shotgun start on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
The three-day event features host College of Charleston in addition to Arkansas, Auburn, UCF, College of Charleston, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Florida State, Furman, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi State, North Carolina, NC State, Penn State, South Carolina, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
Louisville will utilize a lineup of Lauren Hartlage, Molly Skapik, Jacqueline Twitty, Olivia Cason, and Delaney Shah. Live scoring for the event can be accessed through Golfstat.com.
Through two tournaments this year, Louisville placed fifth in the Fall Kickoff – the season opener in Georgia – and then earned a seventh-place showing at the Minnesota Invitational.
Individually, freshman Shah boasts a team-best 74.60 average, followed by classmate Hartlage's 75.00. Twitty and Cason have the team's lone individual top-10 finishes, while Hartlage and Twitty are the only Cardinals with rounds even or below par.
