LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's golf's Emily Haas, Katie Petrino, Laura Restrepo, and Louise Oxner were named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars, the organization announced on Monday.
Louisville's four selections, giving the Cardinals 13 academic All-Americans under third-year head coach Courtney Trimble, are the most of any school in the Atlantic Coast Conference. All four also earned all-ACC Women's Golf Academic Team honors. Collectively, the Cardinals produced a 3.72 grade-point average, and between the two semesters, accounted for 16 Dean's List distinctions.
The WGCA, which honored 758 collegiate golfers, recognized student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average.
Haas, a two-time Capital One Academic All-District first-team selection, graduated with her bachelor's degree in biology in the spring. Also a two-time all-conference member, Haas capped her senior season with a 74.21-stroke average and a team-high six top-10 finishes.
Petrino earned her bachelor's degree in business in the spring of 2014 and had the fifth-best stroke average (75.93) on the team. She capped the season with two top-five finishes.
Restrepo, a rising senior and finance major, is a Red and Black Scholar and finished the season with four top-10 finishes. Oxner, who also is a finance major, played in 27 rounds in 2014-15 and had a 75.74-stroke average.
