Whiting Named to Brooks Wallace Award Watch List

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville senior Sutton Whiting was named on Thursday to the initial watch list for the 2015 Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award.
A native of New Wilmington, Pa., Whiting leads the Cardinals in hitting with a .344 average to go with 10 doubles, 18 RBI, 26 runs scored, 32 walks and a .467 on-base percentage. During his four years in Louisville, Whiting has scored 125 runs and made 164 career starts while playing in 186 games overall.
The award, sponsored by Mizuno, recognizes the nation's top shortstop and will be presented during the National College Baseball Hall of Fame's Night of Champions on June 29 in Lubbock.
