
Swimming Makes Strong Showing at Mesa Day 3 Prelims

The University of Louisville swimmers had another successful morning at the Arena Pro Swim Series at Mesa in Mesa, Ariz. at the Skyline Aquatic Center
Kelsi Worrell qualified fourth in 200M Fly (2:13.75) with teammate Tanja Kylliainen seeded 10th (2:16.33).
Kelsi Worrell earned a second swim in the 50M free with a 25.98 and will be seeded 10th. Andrea Kneppers was 12th in 25.10 in the same event to earn a second swim.
Andrea Cottrell will be back tonight with a 7th seed in the 200M Breaststroke. Freshman Carlos Claverie was the top qualifier wit ha 2:16.67.
Freshman Marcelo Acosta puts up a 3:56,46 in the 400M Free to qualify fifth. The Venezuelan was faster than Ryan Lochte who was 11th and Michael Phelps who was 17th.
Andrea Kneppers went 4:24.89 in the 400M freestyle for 19th to wrap up the morning.
Finals begin at 9 p.m. ET
