
Men's Swimming Completes NCAA Day 1 Prelims

After the first day of preliminaries, the University of Louisville men will send a relay team on to the finals at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving National Championships at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa City, Iowa.
In the 200-free relay, the Cards went 1:17.61 posted by Thomas Dahlia (19.60), Trevor Carroll (19.32), Matthias Lindenbauer (19.40) and Rudy Edelen (19.29). UofL qualified for the B-final in 13th place overall.
In the 500 free, Trevor Carroll posted a 4:21.81 in prelims, but did not earn a second swim this evening.
In the 200-IM Nolan Tesone dropped .44 from entry time to post a 1:44.14 to finish 20th overall. Freshman Carlos Claverie went 1:45.50 in his heat of 200 IM cutting 2.29 from his entry time.
The men's 400-medley relay team was disqualified for an early start and will not return tonight.
