Men's Tennis Set for Louisville Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team is set to host the 2015 Louisville Invitational this weekend at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Admission is free.

The tournament field consists of 13 teams in addition to the host Cardinals who will be represented by freshmen Christopher Haushammer, George Hedley, Brandon Lancaster, Christian Morin-Kougoucheff, Michael Quang and Brian Tsao .

Participating teams include: Austin Peay, Butler, Campbellsville, Indiana, Kentucky, Lipscomb, Louisville, Marquette, Middle Tennessee State, Morehead State, Murray State, Northwestern Ohio, Purdue and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. The tournament format features three flights of singles and doubles and will be played on the indoor and outdoor courts with doubles play starting at 11 a.m. Friday.

"I am excited for our annual Louisville Invitational," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "There are always a lot of teams and players trying to make a name for themselves early in the season. What excites me the most is showing the tennis community their first glimpse of the freshman class which was considered a top 25 recruiting class. This is the perfect time to see our new talent so people can see why I am confident that these guys have great potential."

The full tournament draw will be posted Thursday afternoon.
