
Louisville Drops Match to Notre Dame

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team dropped its second match of the year by a score of 4-0 to Notre Dame Saturday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.Â

In doubles competition, there was a top 25 matchup on the top court between Notre Dame's No. 15 Luis LLorens Saracho and Peter Nad against Louisville's No. 21 Andre' Steinbach and Matei Onofrei with the Fighting Irish duo taking the win, 6-2.Â
The Fighting Irish clinched the doubles point on Court 3 with Noah Becker and Sebastian Dominko taking a 6-3 win.Â
Notre Dame took down Louisville's one, six, then five courts in singles competition to clinch the victory and remain undefeated to start the season.Â
The two teams will meet again on April 11 with the rematch counting toward conference record while this match did not.Â
After a few days of rest, the Cards will hit the road to face No. 23 Kentucky in the Battle of the Bluegrass on January 30 with first serve set for 5 p.m.
