Cards Rally for Fourth ACC Win

In every ACC win this season, Louisville has dropped the doubles point but came back in singles
WEYMOUTH, Mass. -Â The No. 53-ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team picked up its first Atlantic Coast Conference win on the road against Boston College Friday afternoon at the Weymouth Club.
Boston College (4-11, 0-9 ACC) claimed the early advantage with a two-court victory in doubles play. The Eagles first claimed court two, 6-3, before locking down the point with a 7-5 win on the top court.Â
The Cards (16-9, 4-5 ACC) bounced back in singles competition, taking all four victories in straight sets. Freshman Jerald Carroll was the first to finish when he defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-2. Walid Ahouda followed shortly after with a 6-2, 6-4 victory before Andre' Steinbach tallied a 6-2, 7-5 win. Pedro Cressoni clinched the comeback for Louisville with a 6-0, 6-4 victory on court four.Â
Up next Louisville will quickly turnaround to face No. 32 SMU in Dallas on Sunday, March 29. First serve is set for 1 p.m. ET. Â
