Women's Golf Finished Fourth at the Central Division Invitational

The University of Louisville women's golf shot a 282 in the final round of the Central Division Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at the Cypress Links Course at Lakewood Ranch, Fla. Louisville finished fourth with a score of 861. Vanderbilt won the tournament with a score of 844. UCF finished second with a score of 284 and Michigan State finished third with a score of 849.
"This was a great start to our spring season," said head coach Courtney Trimble. "It was a total team effort and we look to build off this the rest of the season."
Katie Petrino led the Cardinals in the final round, shooting a career low round of 66. Petrino finished tied for sixth with a score of 212, for her first Top 10 finish of the season. Vanderbilt's Simin Feng took home medalist honors after winning a playoff against Michigan State's Allyssa Ferrell. Both players finished the tournament with a score of 207.
Sophomore Laura Restrepo shot a 75 in the final round. Restrepo also finished tied for sixth with a score of 212. Junior Emily Haas shot a 73 in the final round. Haas finished tied for 25th with a score of 219.
Freshman Louise Oxner carded a 72 in the final round. She finished tied for 35th with a score of 222. Senior Tara Lyons shot a 71 in the final round. Lyons finished tied for 38th with a score of 223.
Freshman Emily Kurey competed as an individual. Kurey shot a 76 in the final round and finished tied for 56th with a score of 228.
Louisville will be back in action on March 14 as they play in the Clover Cup held in Mesa, Ariz.
