Swimming Set for NCAA Championships

Five members from the University of Louisville women's swimming team are bound for Indianapolis, Ind., and the 2013 NCAA Championships that are slated to run from Thursday through Saturday at the IUPUI Natatorium. The Indiana Sports Corporation and IUPUI will serve as the co-hosts.
The women's team, coming off their third consecutive BIG EAST crown, will send Devon Bibault (200-fly), Abigail Chin (400-IM), Gisselle Kohoyda (200-breast), Tanja Kylliainen (200-IM, 400-IM, 200-fly) and Kelsi Worrell (100-fly). All five relays (200-, 400-, 800-free relays and 200- and 400-medley relays) will compete as well, adding in relay swimmers Grite Apanaviciute, Krissie Brandenburg, Lindsey LaPorte and Breann McDowell.
"This is a marquee moment for Cardinal Swimming and a school record of participants," said U of L head coach Arthur Albiero.
A total of 322 participants (281 swimmers and 41 divers) will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered.
Georgia leads the way with 17 individual qualifiers, followed by Big Ten champion Minnesota (14) and Texas A&M (13). Florida (2010 NCAA team champion) and Cal Berkeley (2011 and 2012 NCAA team champion) each have 12 qualifiers. ESPN3.com will stream finals sessions on Friday and Saturday live.
