Cardinal Divers Leading Both Events in Day 1 Prelims

After the first session of diving preliminaries, U of L sits atop both events, with Hannah Gadd leading the women in the 3-meter diving and Nikolas Sachs atop the men's 1-meter board Wednesday afternoon at the Indiana University Natatorium at the BIG EAST Championships.
Hannah Gadd posted a score of 327.55 with is an NCAA Qualifying score as well as making the BIG EAST. Hannah is a former BIG EAST Diver of the Year and as a senior, in her final meet. Teammate Lindsey Stephens qualified fifth with a score of 284.55 and Emily Stalmack was ninth with a 260.70.
Nikolas Sachs edged Notre Dame favorite Ted Wagner by two points with a 296.20. Teammate Sean Piner was 10th with a 255.15.
