LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville athletic department announced on Monday the radio, web streaming and television details for the Cardinals' 2013 baseball season.
For the fifth consecutive season, News/Talk 1570 AM (WNDA) will be the radio home for Louisville baseball with 45 regular-season games and all post-season games scheduled for broadcast by the Clarksville, Ind., station. The radio schedule includes all 36 home games, three games each at BIG EAST Conference foes Cincinnati and St. John's, the annual showdown at rival Kentucky, the matchup with in-state foe Western Kentucky, the road game at Big Ten opponent Ohio State and all of the Cardinals' BIG EAST Championship and NCAA Championship games.
The Cardinals will once again have a strong presence on the internet as subscribers can follow every game of the 2013 baseball season through CardsTV at GoCards.com. Live streaming audio will be available for every regular-season and post-season game, while streaming video will be available for 35 of the 36 home games. CardsTV memberships are available for just $9.95 per month.
Back for 2013, fans can also access the CardsTV audio stream for every Louisville game on their smart phones through the CardsMobile app, which is currently available for iPhone ($4.99 per month) and Android devices ($9.99 per year).
In addition to the radio and web streaming schedules, the Cardinals will also have two nationally televised games in 2013. The first is set for Tuesday, March 26 when the Big Ten Network televises Louisville's road game at Indiana (7 p.m., ET). On Saturday, May 18, the newly expanded Jim Patterson Stadium will on display when ESPNU returns to Jim Patterson Stadium for the Cardinals' regular season finale against Pittsburgh (noon ET). It will mark the third straight season Louisville has hosted at least one nationally televised game and it will be the seventh national TV game at home in the last six seasons for the Cardinals.
No. 4 Louisville will open the 2013 season on Friday against Indiana (7:30 p.m., ET) in Dunedin, Fla., at the BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge. The Cardinals' 36-game home slate at Jim Patterson Stadium is set to open on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 3 p.m., ET against Eastern Kentucky.
