
Swimming and Diving Face Off With Rival Kentucky

The No. 14 ranked men and the No. 17 ranked women of the University of Louisville swimming and diving teams will take on rival Kentucky as the Cats close out their home dual-meet schedule for 2012-13 on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Aquatic Center.
After falling to LSU in their first meet after the holiday break, the Wildcats are looking for their best performances of the season on Senior Day. Louisville brings the No. 14 men's team and No. 17 women's team according to the CollegeSwimming.com/CSCAA Coaches poll to Lexington this weekend.
After evening its dual meet and Big East record at .500 against Cincinnati, the men headed to Dallas for the SMU Classic to battle some of the top teams in the country including No. 1 Michigan, No. 5 USC and No. 7 Florida. Joao De Lucca highlighted night one with a 1:35.06 to win the 200 free, while the teams 200 free relay took third for its top finish on night two with a 1:19.24.
The women last competed against Cincinnati and won handily. Multiple winners for the Cardinals included: Gisselle Kohoyda (100- and 200-breast), Kelsi Worrell (200 MR, 200-FR and 100-free), Tanja Kylliainen (100- and 200-fly). Abby Chin won the 200-free and the 400-IM Hannah Gadd had the highest scores in both the 1-meter and the 3-meter board. Eszter Povazsay won the 50-free and the 200-FR.
Diving events will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the men performing on the 1-meter and the women on the 3-meter spring board. Senior Day festivities will begin shortly thereafter preceding the swimming and final diving events.
Free parking for Saturday's meet will be available at Parking Structure No. 7 on the corner of Sports Center Drive and Complex Drive. No passes or vouchers are necessary.
U of L's final dual meet of the seaseon comes Feb. 1 at 5 p.m. when they host Indiana.
