
Swimmer Joao De Lucca Punches Ticket To London

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville swimmer, Joao De Lucca, is headed for London for this summer's Olympic Games.
The Brazilian swimming federation, the CBDA, announced in today's big reveal of the Olympic relay invites, that Louisville star De Lucca has made the Olympic lineup.
De Lucca broke out last season with Louisville at the collegiate level, where he placed 3rd in the 200 free and 7th in the 100-free at the NCAAs. He also was a six-time BIG EAST champion in 2012. His big long course meet came at the Maria Lenk Trophy in Brazil, where he posted a 49.27 in the 100- free to earn this spot on the team.
He will join an impressive cast of competitors, including Cesar Cielo, Nicolas Oliveira, Bruno Fratus, Marcelo Chierighini, and Nicholas Santos.
