The University of Louisville women's swim team will have their first finalist at this year's NCAA Championships after sophomore Gisselle Kohoyda qualified tenth in the 100-Breaststroke at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.
"We had another great session this morning. So far we have had five swims with four lifetime best swims. Gisselle Kohoyda continues to make great progress with a new school record in the 100-Breast and a chance to swim again tonight," said head coach Arthur Albiero.
Kohoyda swam a lifetime best and new school record time of 1:00.02. This bested the previous school record of 1:00.15. She will swim in the "B" final this evening. Senior Fanny Lilliestrom also swam a personal best time in the 100-Breast, posting a time of 1:01.29 which was good for 32nd place.
Tanja Kylliainen placed 31st in the 400-IM.
