The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 4-0 to No. 64-ranked North Texas in a shortened format due to inclimate weather conditions Sunday evening in Denton, Texas.
Skipping doubles, the teams faced off in singles. NT got its first win when Paula Dinuta upended U of L's Sarah Miller with a crazy momentum swing match score of 6-1, 1-6, 6-0. Next to fall was Mandy Brown at No. 4, who lost to Ilona Serchenko 6-3, 6-2. Freshman Manuela Velasquez lost 6-4, 7-5 at No. 3 to Irina Paraschiv. The match was clinched by Barbora Vykydalova, who beat Gabrielle Duncan 6-1, 7-5.
U of L's match on Friday against Denver was rained out in Denton.
