Louisville Baseball Announces 2011 TV Schedule

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A pair of nationally televised home games by CBS College Sports as well as four statewide telecasts by Wazoo Sports Network highlight the Louisville baseball team's 2011 television schedule released on Thursday.
For the first time ever, CBS College Sports will visit Jim Patterson Stadium when the network televises the final two games of the Louisville-Notre Dame BIG EAST Conference series on May 20-21. First pitch for the game on Friday, May 20 is set for 7 p.m., ET (one hour later than the previously scheduled 6 p.m.), while the regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday, May 21 is set for a 1 p.m., ET start. The CBS College Sports telecasts for 2011 mark the sixth straight season the Louisville baseball team will play at least one nationally televised game. It telecasts will also be the Cardinals' first nationally televised home games since the 2007 NCAA Super Regional (ESPN) at Jim Patterson Stadium.
Along with the two national telecasts, Louisville will also have four other home games televised live throughout the state of Kentucky by Wazoo Sports Network. The Wazoo telecasts of the April 12 matchup with Kentucky (6 p.m.), April 21 game against BIG EAST foe USF (6 p.m.), May 10 showdown against Vanderbilt (6 p.m.) and May 19 series opener with Notre Dame (6 p.m.) will give the Louisville baseball program a statewide television presence in 2011.
Last season, the Cardinals were unbeaten in two nationally televised games earning a 6-0 win at Ohio State on the Big Ten Network and a 6-3 series-opening win at Notre Dame on ESPNU.
The Cardinals' complete 2011 radio and webcast schedules will be released next week. Louisville will open the 2011 season at the BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Feb. 18-20. The Cardinals' home schedule will begin with a three-game series against Toledo on Feb. 25-27 at Jim Patterson Stadium.
