
Men's 400-Medley Relay Takes 12th in NCAAs

The University of Louisville 400-medley relay team set a new school record of 3:09.88 as they finished No. 12 in the nation Friday evening at the Men's NCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships held on the campus of Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
Senior Carlos Van Isschot led off the race for the Cardinals with a backstroke split of 46.81. Next in the water was Carlos Almeida, who swam the breaststroke leg in 52.39. Pedro Oliveira put up a 47.61 fly leg before anchor Kris Findorff touched the wall in 43.07.
"It was a great swim tonight," said U of L coach Arthur Albiero. "It was a great first day for the Cardinals."
