CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell to No. 34 Illinois 7-0 on Saturday.

In doubles action, Louisville's Katie McLaughlin and Kelly Whitler fell to Eldina Fazlic and Michelle Webb 8-4 at the top seed. Julie Penn and Kelly Kiehna lost at Nol. 2 to Jennifer McGaffigan and Carla Rosenberg 8-2. U of L's Paige Eber and Mariana Torres lost to Simone Kung and Tiffany Eklov 8-3 at No. 3.

In singles action, the Cards were swept in straight sets. McLaughlin lost to Fazlic 6-0, 6-1 at the top seed. Penn was defeated by McGaffigan 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2. Whitler fell to Kung 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3. Kiehna lost at No. 4 to Eklov 6-4, 6-1. Eber went down to Carla Rosenberg 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 and Torres lost to Michelle Webb 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

Louisville (2-5) will play Conference USA opponent UAB Sunday in Chicago.
