Cardinals Take Down Middle Tennessee

UofL wins 6-1
 LOUISVILLE –The University of Louisville women's tennis team beat Middle Tennessee State 6-1 Wednesday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.Â
The Cardinals (9-4) clinched the doubles point, thanks to a 6-0 sweep on court two from Berta Miret and Elena Noguero, and a 7-6 (7-3) duel on court 1, courtesy of Alice Otis and Lika Peresypkina. Â
Moving to singles, Noguero continued her winning ways on No. 3, winning 6-1,6-0. Germany Davis matched her on No. 2, getting the victory 6-1,6-0. And Otis clinched the victory for the Cards, with a score of 6-4, 6-2 on No. 1. Louisville also picked up a point from Miret on No. 5, getting the point 6-3, 3-6, 10-1, as well as Peresypkina on No. 4, with a score of 6-2, 7-6(8-6), to finish out the afternoon.
The loss moves the Blue Raiders to 4-9 on the year.
Louisville will travel to Durham, N.C. to take on the Duke University Blue Devils Friday, March 13 at 5:00PM.
