Cardinal Baseball Suffers Three-Game Sweep At Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Cards suffered through a tough three-game sweep at the hands of the Vanderbilt Commodores at McGugin Field in Nashville, Tenn., last weekend.
In Friday's game the U of L pitching staff surrendered 20 hits in an 18-5 loss. Saturday saw Louisville rally for two runs in the ninth to tie the game at five, only to lose in the 10th 6-5. The Cards stranded 14 men on base in the 10-inning loss. On Sunday the Cards fell 9-5, striking out 13 times.
Louisville (1-7) plays host to Evansville at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cardinal Stadium.
