2008: Played in 22 games for the Cardinals, starting one, driving in four runs in 19 at bats. Drew a walk to load the bases, setting up the winning run in the ninth inning in win over UK(4/22). In his first AB in a week he belted a game winning pinch single with two out in the bottom of the ninth for a walk-off win over Indiana(4/15). Hit a pinch single against St' John's (4/5). Singled home a run, going 1 for 3 in first start of the season, helping the team to a 7-4 win over Purdue (4/2). Drew a bases-loaded walk and scored in the bottom of the ninth against UConn (3/22). Cracked an RBI pinch single in win over Xavier (3/11).
2007: Saw action in just six games for the Cardinals with four senior outfielders on the roster. Drew a pinch walk in win over Xavier (3/18). Walked and made a nice over-the-shoulder catch in left in win over Morehead (2/28).
2006: Went 3 for 10 as a pinch hitter. Doubled twice and homered, driving in six while starting just four games. Drove in a run and scored a run in win over UCONN (5/24). Doubled in two runs at West Virginia (4/22b). Singled and scored as a pinch hitter at GU (4/7). Belted an RBI pinch single, later scoring in win over EKU (3/29), adding a walk. Was 2 for 3 with a pair of RBI, smacking a solo home run as a pinch hitter - his first career hit, in win at EKU (3/7).
2005: Redshirted.
High School: Played both baseball and basketball for the Bulldogs here in Louisville. Was 8-1 on the mound, while posting a .300 average as a senior. Won the 110% award on the hoops team as a freshman. Was All-Region and All-District as a junior at Male. Named All-State, All-Region and All-District his senior year. Male was state runner-up in 2003.
Personal: Born 10/18/85 in The Ville. His parents are Paula Moore and Kerry Christensen. Is majoring in sport administration at U of L. Would like to be a sales rep at Louisville Slugger when he finishes school. Biggest thrill in sports before the 2007 Super Regional victory was the high School state championship his junior year. His dad and his dad's twin brother Kim both played minor league baseball. His parents are his greatest influence on him. Likes to fish, go boating, play basketball and golf in his spare time. Anchorman, 61 and The Incredibles are his favorite movies, while That 70's Show and Seinfeld are his favorite TV shows. The Cincinnati Reds are his favorite team, and Ken Griffey Jr. is his favorite athlete. Tyler would like to be joined by Jessica Biel, Cameron Diaz and you at the dinner table. Fruity Pebbles are his favorite cereal and Snickers is his favorite candy bar. Also likes steak and shrimp. Listens to country music. Best athlete he faced was Jeremy Sowers in high school.
