High School: Earned four letters for the Rams as a catcher - the same school that produced hall of famer Pee Wee Reese. His older brother Trystan is a senior on the Cardinal baseball team. Hit .360 with three home runs as a junior, helping the team to the regional playoffs.

Personal: Born 12/8/88 to David and Julie Magnuson in London, England. Is majoring in mechanical engineering at U of L and would like to design sport fishing boat engines when he finishes college. His biggest thrill in sports was playing in the World Wood Bat Association Perfect Game tournament in Marietta, Georgia for the Louisville Buffaloes. His father is his biggest influence on him athletically - "he taught and coached the basics better than anyone I know." Enjoys bass fishing in his spare time. Gone Fishin' is his favorite movie and Star Trek is his favorite TV show. Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz are his favorite athletes with the Red Sox and Twins his favorite teams. Shrimp is his favorite food and Aero Bar is his favorite candy bar. Likes to listen to Third Day and Lynyrd Skynyrd. His dream dinner guests would be Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego - "to ask what it was like to walk through fire on faith alone." His great uncle was former Chicago Blackhawk great Keith Magnuson. Best athlete he faced was when he caught Brian Shartzer, a retired minor leaguer who threw in the low to mid 90's.
