2014: Made three early season relief appearances in first collegiate season. Worked 1.1 innings of shutout relief with one strikeout against Toledo on Feb. 28. Struck out two in a scoreless inning of relief in collegiate debut against Western Michigan on Feb. 22.
High School: Named 2013 Area Player of the Year for Owensboro Catholic. Was 2013 First Team All-State selection. Lettered in three sports (baseball, football and swimming) at Owensboro Catholic. Tossed a no-hitter as a junior in a district game.
Personal: Born on May 17, 1995 in Owensboro, Ky. Son of Greg and Denise Richardson. Has two sisters, Mallory and Maddy. Majoring in pre-business at the University of Louisville. After college, he wants to work in the field of business. Person with the greatest influence on his career is his father because he taught him how to play the game with respect. Hobbies include fishing, riding four wheelers, playing golf and watching sports. Favorite movies include Tommy Boy, We Were Soldiers and Ladder 49. Favorite team is the Cincinnati Reds. Favorite foods are fried chicken, mashed potatoes and biscuits and gravy.
