2008: Posted a 3.90 ERA, taking the hill 26 times on the season. He took the hill for the 72nd time in his career, tying for 8th on the career list, and his 3.20 ERA is 3rd lowest in school history. Pitched in both NCAA Regional Games in Athens, tossing 2.1 hitless innings. Retired all four he faced in win over Seton Hall (5/20) in the first round of BIG EAST Championship. Worked a hitless frame in win over BSU (5/13). Picked up his first win of the season with two scoreless innings against IU (5/6), striking out two. Struck out one in a 1-2-3 inning in win at GU (5/4). Fanned a career-best three in consecutive appearances, a 1.2 inning stint in a win over UC and 2.0 shutout innings in the win over WKU (4/30). Twirled a season-long 2.1 scoreless innings against SJU (4/5). Worked a scoreless eighth in win over Kent (3/14), striking out a pair. Twirled a scoreless inning and two-thirds at The Citadel (3/1).
2007: Enjoyed a stellar season out of the bullpen with 32 appearances, tied for third in single season school history and second in the BIG EAST. Was 2-0 with a 1.92 ERA that is the 10th-lowest single season total in school history. Opponents were 9-of-74 with 12 double plays when batting with men on and 1-for-12 while grounding into four twin-killings with the bases loaded. Baserunners were 0-for-4 when attempting to steal. Was 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA in the postseason, making seven appearances covering 14 IP, including a 1-0 mark in the Columbia Regional, tossing seven scoreless innings to make the All-Regional team. Allowed just two baserunners in 3.1 scoreless innings of work against North Carolina in the College World Series in Omaha (6/19). Tossed the final two innings of the shutout win over OSU (6/8) in the Super Regional. Named one of two pitchers on the NCAA All-Regional Team, tossing 7.0 scoreless innings over four appearances in four days. Was the winning pitcher in the Cardinals' first ever NCAA Regional win over Miami (6/1), tossing 2.1 scoreless innings out of the pen. Worked 1.1 hitless in relief, combing on one-hitter in tourney win over Villanova (5/23). Went a career-long 3.0 shutout innings in series-opening win at UC (5/17), and twirled a perfect frame in the series-clincher. Allowed just a hit and struck out one in 2.1 innings of work in earning his first career win (EKU 5/2). Worked 10.2 consecutive scoreless innings, spread out over seven appearances in which he has allowed four hits and three walks while striking out 12. Tossed 2.1 hitless innings at UK (4/25). Equalled a career-best with three K's in two perfect innings in win over WVU (3/31). Picked up a pair of punchouts in perfect inning in win at Villanova (3/25). Shared in the shutout over Xavier (3/18), striking out a career-best three in an inning and a third. His scoreless inning helped the Cards to win over Cal (3/10) extending his streak to 6.1 scoreless to open the season. Worked a scoreless inning and a third in win over Illinois State (3/3). Fanned one in a scoreless inning in win over Morehead (2/28). Struck out one in a scoreless ninth in win over Murray (2/20). Made a strong 2007 debut, twirling 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing a hit and striking out a pair.
2006: Made 14 appearances out of the pen in his debut season with the Cards. Struck out a team-leading 12.00 per nine innings. Fanned all three he faced in wins over Villanova (5/14) and Morehead (5/16). Worked another perfect third of an inning at WVU (4/22). Fanned the only man he faced when the Wildcats came to the Ville (4/19). Twice retired the only batter he faced over the weekend at USF. Struck out one in an inning, combining on the shutout win over GU (4/8).
2005: Redshirted
High School: Picked up four letters in baseball and three in both basketball and football. First team All-District and team MVP in basketball as a senior. Twice All-District and honorable mention All-State as a punter, kicker and tight end. His 47-yard FG is the second longest in school history. Named to the All-Region team and was team MVP in 2004 as the Cougars reached the regional semifinals.
Personal: Born 2/7/86 in Bowling Green, Ky. to Gary and Nona Logsdon. Has an older sister. Majoring in equine business. In his spare time, he likes to ride horses, fish, play basketball and go boating and water-skiing. Would like to buy a farm and raise a family. Field of Dreams, Tommy Boy and 8 Seconds are his favorite movies. Home Improvement is his favorite TV show. His favorite foods are Frosted Flakes, Snickers, pot roast, cabbage, corn-on-the-cob and liver loaf. The Colts and Red Sox are his favorite teams, while Ty Murray, Randy Johnson, Michael Jordan, A-Rod and Jeter are his favorite athletes. Not many people know that he can play the spoons. His cousin Shaun played football at Kentucky Wesleyan.
