High School: Earned four letters in baseball at Somerset High School where he was coached by Phillip Grundy. Earned All-County honors as a junior and senior. Earned All-District as a sophomore, junior and senior. Named All-Region as a junior. Selected to play in Kentucky East-West All-Star Game as a junior. Started all four years at catcher. Hit .400 with five home runs and 39 RBI as a senior. Hit .444 with four home runs and 32 RBI as a junior. Threw out 53-of-68 baserunners in his four-year prep career behind the plate. Also earned three letters in football earning All-County and All-District honors as a senior quarterback. Ranked third in passing yards all time at Somerset.
Personal: Born Chase Douglas Hall on Oct. 16, 1989 in Somerset, Ky. Son of Doug and Tina Hall. Has two younger siblings, Colby and Charley. Majoring in civil engineering. Biggest thrill in sports was playing Ryle High School in semi-state his junior season and winning the region championship that same year. After college, he plans to get a job in the field of civil engineering. People with the most influence on his athletic career are his parents because they're the ones who made it possible for him to play sports as a child and as he grew up. Hobbies and interests include sleeping, hanging out with friends, watching movies, playing golf and fishing. Favorite movies are Fight Club and Superbad. Favorite TV shows are Entourage and SportsCenter. Favorite athletes are Brett Favre, Alfonso Soriano and Chipper Jones. Favorite foods include Rice Krispies, Milky Way, pizza and chicken. Favorite restaurant is Outback. Favorite teams are New York Jets and Atlanta Braves. Listens to country music and rap. If he could eat dinner with one person, he would pick Brett Favre. Somthing crazy he's done is bungee jump. From the same hometown as Atlanta Braves centerfielder Josh Anderson.
