2009: Made 23 total appearances and nine starts as a sophomore. Finished with a 4-2 record and one save with a 4.40 ERA. Earned the win in the Cards' BIG EAST title clinching victory over USF on May 15 after allowing only one run on five hits with five strikeouts in 7.0 innings. Got the no-decision on May 10 after allowing four runs on six hits in 4.2 innings at St. John's. Had his best outing of the season with 6.0 scoreless innings to earn the win in Cards' victory over Ohio State on May 5. Came back on three days rest to give the Cards' a three-inning start on April 26 against Notre Dame, where allowed only two earned runs on six hits. Made his first start since March 25 allowing two runs on six hits in 4.2 innings against Vandy on April 22. Gave the Cards' 3.0 scoreless innings of relief allowing only one hit against Rutgers on April 19. Allowed two runs and one hit in less than an inning of relief against UK on April 14. Gave up only one hit and one walk in 2.0 innings of scoreless relief on April 11 against Pitt. Allowed two runs on one hit in 1.1 innings of relief on April 5 at Cincinnati. Picked up his second win of the season with 0.2 innings of hitless relief on April 1 against Ball State. Gave up one run on five hits in 2.0 innings of relief against Seton Hall on March 28. Allowed four runs on six hits with two strikeouts in 4.0 innings against WKU on March 25. Pitched one inning of perfect relief, retiring all three hitters he faced on ground balls back to him on March 22 against Georgetown. Retired the final hitter in the ninth inning and earned his first win of the season on March 18 against Morehead State. Pitched 0.2 innings of scoreless relief on March 16 against Iowa, recording the final two outs of the game. Allowed two runs on three hits in 3.1 innings at Tennessee on March 11 in his fourth relief appearance of the season. Earned his second career save and the first of the season with 1.2 innings of scoreless, one-hit relief against Eastern Illinois on March 7. Pitched two scoreless innings allowing only one hit against WMU on March 4. Made his first start of the season on Feb. 25 giving up four earned runs on five hits and striking out two in 4.1 innings against EKU. Made season debut with 1.2 scoreless innings of work on Feb. 20 at Florida.
2008: Capped a solid freshman campaign, posting a 1-0 record and a 3.90 ERA in 22 outings, 10 as a starter, adding a save in 64.2 innings. Had a 3.41 ERA in BIG EAST games, moving into the starting rotation. Took the hill in the elimination game of the NCAA Regional, battling for 4.2 innings, allowing two runs. Worked five strong innings to open the BIG EAST Championship win over UC. Tossed five brilliant shutout innings at WVU on May 11 before rain delayed the game and forced his exit. Tallied his first career win with seven innings of two-hit baseball, sealing a sweep at GU on May 4. Worked 6.2 shutout innings against Villanova on April 20, matching his career-high with seven strikeouts. Was brilliant in eight innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out six in Cardinal win over IU on April 15, once retiring 11 straight. Tossed two scoreless in win over SJU on April 6. Returned to his home state, inducing a double-play to secure a two-run lead in the 8th at Pitt on March 29. Worked two scoreless innings in win at EKU on March 25. Held the Cardinal lead over UConn with an inning and a third of scoreless relief in win on March 21. K'd both batters he faced against UT on March 19. Struck out a career-best seven in three innings of scoreless relief to earn the save in win over Xavier on March 11. Retired the side in order in his college debut against NCAT on March 2.
High School: Drafted in the 30th round by the Pirates. An imposing 6-4 lefty who was All-State and First Team All-Region, posting a 9-1 record with a 1.04 ERA and 97 strikeouts as a senior and 7-3 record on the hill with 84 strikeouts his junior year. Was District Pitcher and Player of the Year as a senior. Was a member of the 18-and-under World Wood Bat Association's Fall Championship team that competes in late October in Jupiter, Fla. Revesz tossed five innings of three-hit baseball and earned a save for the 8-0 Reds in the 80-team tournament. Also played golf in high school.
Personal: Born on 7/16/88 in Augusta, Ga., to Jim and Robin Revesz. Is a business major at Louisville. Hopes to play pro baseball after college. Wear the number 10 because it is his lucky number. His dad is his greatest influence on him athletically. Likes to play X-box, computers and run in his spare time. Cheers for the Seahawks and the Mariners. Tiger Woods is his favorite athlete. Likes to eat Chinese food and go out to Olive Garden. Frosted Flakes are his favorite cereal and Payday is his favorite candy bar. Listens to rap and hip hop music. Once drank a cube of Mountain Dew in one night. His mom was a college gymnast and his dad a college wrestler. His uncle played baseball at Old Dominion. His dream dinner guests would be Tiger Woods, Sandy Koufax and Owen Wilson.
