2015: Made 14 relief appearances in first collegiate season finishing with a 1-0 record and a 3.52 ERA in 7.2 innings pitched. Worked an inning of shutout relief with one strikeout against Clemson at the ACC Championship on May 21. Has made seven straight scoreless relief appearances. Had a pair of strikeouts in an inning of shutout relief in Cardinals’ 18-inning win at No. 22 Notre Dame on March 21. Earned first career win after a bases loaded strikeout against No. 10 Miami helped propel Louisville to the series-opening victory. Made collegiate debut with 2.2 innings of relief allowing one run with two strikeouts against Arkansas State on Feb. 20.

High School: Four-year letterwinner in as a pitcher for West Holmes High School, where he was a key contributor to team's fourth place finish in the state of Ohio in 2012. Won more than 20 games as a prep pitcher for the Knights. Ranked as a top 25 player in the state of Ohio by Perfect Game. Named All-Central Region honorable mention by Perfect Game.

Personal: Born on July 18, 1995 in Wooster, Ohio. Parents are Mike and Charlotte Baird. Has two sisters, Haley and Hannah. Majoring in exercise science. Person with the greatest influence on his athletic career was his dad because he has always pushed him to do his best. Hobbies and outsides interests include playing golf and watching movies. Favorite movies are Shooter and This Means War. Favorite TV show is Martin. Favorite cereal is Blueberry Mini-Wheats. Favorite candy bar is Reese's.
