Cards Locked In for Final Homestand

Steinbach and Cressoni will be honored for Senior Day before the noon match against Stanford
LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The No. 50-ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team will be back in action at the Bass Rudd Tennis Center with three matches over the weekend. Â
The Cardinals (14-7, 3-3 ACC) will start the weekend in Atlantic Coast Conference play against the No. 65 California Golden Bears on Friday, March 20. The match will begin at approximately 5 p.m. following the conclusion of the women's tennis match at 2 p.m.
Louisville will face the No. 23 Stanford Cardinal in an ACC matchup as part of a doubleheader on Sunday March 22, with first serve at 12 p.m. Senior day for the Cardinals will take place before the match as Pedro Cressoni and Andre' Steinbach will be recognized. This will be followed by a match against the Bellarmine Knights at 5 p.m. to close out the weekend homestand.Â
Louisville is 12-3 at home and 10-0 in doubleheaders this season and will look to further improve those records this weekend. The Cards are one of fourteen ACC teams ranked in the latest ITA poll and for the fourth weekend in a row will be playing two ranked conference opponents.Â
This will be the last homestand of the year for Louisville as they will close out the regular season with five conference matches on the road.Â
