Men’s Tennis Announces 2026 Fall Schedule

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville men's tennis head coach Rodrigo da Silvahas announced the Cardinals' 2026 fall schedule. The fall campaign includes seven tournaments, two of which will be hosted by UofL.
The Cardinals kick off their fall schedule in Knoxville, Tenn., at the Tennessee Invitational. Select individuals will participate in the tournament, which will be played from Sept. 19 through Sept. 20.
That same weekend, individuals will travel to Tulsa, Okla. for the ITA All-American Championships. The tournament will kick off on Sept. 19 and runs through Sept. 27. Ten individuals from the tournament will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship, and four doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
The Cardinals then compete in the Fighting Irish Mini Duals the following weekend. The tournament, which will be played in South Bend, Ind., begins on Sept. 25 and concludes on Sept. 27.
The next stop on their fall campaign will bring the Cards home to Louisville, Ky., where they will host the Louisville Invitational for the third consecutive year. The tournament will be played from Oct. 2 to Oct. 4 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The next weekend, Louisville will travel to the annual ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships in College Grove, Tenn. The tournament will begin on Oct. 4 and last through Oct. 13. From the tournament, two singles finalists and the doubles champion from each region will qualify for their respective NCAA Championships.
The team will then divide the following week, as individuals represent the Cardinals at the MTSU Invitational or the Lexington Futures. The MTSU Invitational will be played in Murfreesboro, Tenn. from Oct. 16 to Oct. 18. The Lexington Futures will be played in Lexington, Ky. from Oct. 12 to Oct. 18.
Louisville will round out its fall slate back home, as they will host the Louisville Classic. The tournament will be played at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville, Ky. from Oct. 23 to Oct. 25.
The ITA Sectional Championships will be held Nov. 5-8, with multiple campuses serving as host sites. The schools serving as hosts for the tournament include Baylor University (Central section), the University of Virginia (East section) and Arizona State University (West section). The location for the south section has yet to be announced. Six singles players and three doubles teams will qualify out of each section.
The fall schedule leads to Athens, Ga., where the NCAA Championships will be held Nov. 18-22. Both the singles and doubles championships will be held that week, resulting in the crowning of the 2026-27 NCAA Individual Champions for each title.
