Cards will face Syracuse in an ACC showdown Saturday at noon
The University of Louisville lacrosse team will play host to No. 12 Syracuse in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup Saturday at noon.

OPENING DRAW
• Louisville enters the weekend with a 2-3 overall record and an 0-2 mark in league play. Most recently, the Cards defeated Canisius 20-13 on Wednesday.
• The Cardinals are led offensively by junior Reese Whiteman who has 15 points and 13 goals with three hat tricks on the season. She has scored at least one goal in her last six games, dating back to April 17, 2025.
• Sophomore Ella Berg stands second on the team with 14 points and 11 goals.
• Sophomore Charlotte Jackson has nine goals and a team-high five assists.
• Sophomore Haley Richards leads the ACC with 58 saves and stands second in conference with 11.60 saves per game and a .479 save percentage.
• Richards collected 16 stops in her first collegiate start, the season-opener against OSU. She has registered double digit saves in four of Louisville's five contests this season.
• Sophomore Olivia Scroggie leads the team with 46 draw controls in the early 2026 campaign, standing second in the ACC and 12th in the nation with 9.20 draw controls per game.
• Scroggie currently has 119 draw controls in her career, becoming the ninth player in program history to reach the century mark.
• Junior Cate Kangas paces the team with 14 ground balls and nine caused turnovers.
• After losing eight seniors to graduation in 2025, Louisville fields a young roster with 11 freshmen and eight sophomores to go along with seven seniors and six juniors.
• Head coach Scott Teeter is in his ninth season at the helm. He sits at 195-205 in his 24th season as a head coach, with a 50-85 mark at UofL.

• No. 12 Syracuse (1-3, 0-2 ACC) comes into the matchup following its first win of the season, a 15-7 victory over No.13-ranked Loyola. The Orange used a 9-3 second half advantage to separate from the greyhounds.
• Syracuse has played four games on the season, all against ranked opponents; No. 7 Maryland, No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Stanford and No.13 Loyola.
• Sophomore Molly Guzik leads the offensive attack for the Orange, with eight goals on the year. Guzik also paces her team in draw controls with 18
• Ashlee Volpe's four assists lead the 'Cuse.
• The duo of Danielle Guyette and Izzy Lahah share the team lead in ground balls with eight apiece.
