
Louisville Tied for 13th After Second Round of Moon Golf

Thienna Huynh had a team-best even par 72 on Monday
MELBOURNE, Fla. — The Louisville women's golf team is tied for 13th overall after the second round of the Moon Golf Invitational Monday afternoon at the Suntree Country Club. The Cardinals improved their team score by a stroke as they fired a 13-over-par 301 in the second round and will look to improve its position in the final round on Tuesday.
Thienna Huynh led the Cards on Monday as she had a team-best even-par 72 in the second round of action. The Cards started on the back nine to begin their round and she finished strong when they moved back to the front nine holes. Huynh shot 2-under-par over her final nine holes to close out the round and is tied for 56th overall.
Bailey Burkett continues to lead the Cards on the individual leaderboard as she is tied for 17th overall. In her second round, she shot a 2-over-par 74 and had a team-best four birdies on the day. She also finished the round strong with three birdies over the final eight holes.
Veronika Exposito was one back of Burkett as she put together a 3-over-par 75 in the second round. Much like Huynh and Burkett, Exposito finished strong to end the round. She tallied three birdies over her final seven holes and is tied for 47th overall.
Millie Cottrell was 8-over-par 80 in the second round and is 82nd overall. Emree Cameron had to withdraw with an injury and will not finish the tournament for the Cardinals.
The Cards will be back on the course on Tuesday for the third and final round of the Moon Golf Invitational. It will be a shotgun start as all players will tee off from various holes at 9 a.m. ET.
