
Praasterink Advances to Olympic 10M Platform Semifinals

PARIS -- University of Louisville diver Else Praasterink advanced to the semifinals of the 10M Platform Diving at the Paris La Defense Arena at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Diving for her native Netherlands, Else went 58.00, 51.80, 63.00, 62.40, 46.40 to combine for the 281.60 to place 15th..

Although the scores from prelims are thrown out before the semifinals, Praasterink will have her work cut out for her in the next round as a pair of Chinese teenagers qualified significantly ahead of the field. Seventeen-year-old Hongchan Quan put up a 421.25 and teammate 18-year-old Yuxi Quan (382.15) were almost 100 points ahead of the rest of the field.
