This is the second of three-straight home games to begin the season

The seven goals were the most goals scored by any ACC team in their season-opener on Thursday night.
Heading into the season, the Cardinals were in search of new offensive production as they returned just five of 15 goals from last season and none of their 18 assists. Last season, it took the Cards until the eighth game of the year to reach seven total goals and seven total assists.
Amber Jackson made her first appearance in a Louisville uniform after missing last season due to injury and she did not miss a beat. Jackson scored in the first half and the second half for her first career brace. Brooke Dardano also missed last season due to injury and made an instant impact on Thursday night. She tallied three assists on the night to set a career high and set a Lynn Stadium record for most assists in a game. Coming into the match, Dardano had just four career assists.
Betsy Huckaby opened the scoring against the Knights in the sixth minute when her strike from outside the box deflected off the post and into the back of the net. Karsyn Cherry and Viktoria Wik also scored in the first half to give the Cards the 4-0 lead at the break. It was Wik's first career goal in her second season with the Cards and Cherry's fourth career goal.
Mackenzie Geigle continued the scoring in the second half with her second career goal in the 57th minute. After Jackson's second goal of the game, Molly Cochran closed the scoring with her third career goal in the 85th minute to seal the 7-0 win. Erynn Floyd did not face a shot in the first half and Kailey Kimball saved both of the second half attempts to earn the combined clean sheet.
UAB enters Sunday's match with a matching 1-0-0 record after their 1-0 season-opening win over East Tennessee State on Thursday. Abby Graeser broke the deadlock with the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute to propel the Blazers to the season-opening win. UAB is coming off a 6-7-5 season in 2023 and were 2-3-4 in AAC play during head coach Lisa Mann's first season at the helm. UAB was 2-3-3 on the road last season.
