Cardinals Place 18 on Baseball All-ACC Academic Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville baseball program had 18 student-athletes recognized as part of the baseball All-ACC Academic Team released by the conference on Friday.
The Cardinals were one of two programs to have at least 18 selections.
Alex Alicea, Logan Beard, Tucker Biven, Kaleb Corbett, Sebastian Gongora, Dylan Hoy, Isaac Humphrey, Gavin Kilen, Eddie King Jr., Matt Klein, Will Koger, Michael Lippe, Ryan McCoy, Lucas Moore, Riley Phillips, Zion Rose, Ty Starke and Evan Webster were Louisville's representatives on the All-Academic Team.
This is the third All-ACC Academic honor for Corbett and the second for Beard, Biven, Humphrey, Kilen, King, McCoy, Phillips and Webster.
Requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a career 3.0 GPA and 3.0 GPA in the most recent semester. In addition, position players must have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's contests, while pitchers must have participated in at least 20 percent.
The 18 selections continue a run of academic success that saw the Cardinals extend their streak of consecutive semesters with a 3.0 grade point average to 26 straight this spring.
