The Bearcats are riding a five-game win streak
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team (2-4, 1-1 ACC) will travel to Cincinnati to play the Bearcats (5-2, 0-0 AAC) in a Wednesday afternoon match-up. The opening draw will take place at 12 p.m. ET at Nippert Stadium.
The Cardinals look to build off of Saturday's 19-11 win at Pitt, their first ACC victory of the season. Kokoro Nakazawa tallied a career-high five goals and a career-high three assists while Negai Nakazawa recorded a career-high four goals on just four shots. Seven Cards scored on the afternoon with additional multiple goal showings by Nicole Perroni (4), Allegra Catalano (2), and Kylea Dobson (2).
SERIES HISTORY
Louisville is 15-1 all-time against Cincinnati, suffering its first loss of the series in an intense overtime battle last season, 12-13 (OT). The Cardinals are 8-0 at Nippert Stadium. The two teams have played each other every year since the program's inaugural season in 2008, tying for the longest series in Louisville lacrosse history.
KEY PLAYERS
Sara Addeche has continued to guard the net through the first six games of the season. She has recorded 66 saves and a .462 save percentage in 355:37 minutes at the net. She ranks first nationally in saves and first in the conference (ninth nationally) in saves per game this season with 11.00.
Nicole Perroni has tallied 18 goals and three assists on 39 shots so far this season. She is first in the conference in caused turnovers per game with 2.50. The midfielder is also first in the ACC and fourth nationally in free position goals per game with 1.67. Her four-goal showing against Pitt marked her 22nd career hat trick and the fourth time this season she has scored four goals in a game.

The Bearcats have won five-straight contests, their longest streak since eight in 2019. UC has allowed only 16 goals over that stretch, which began with the program's first-ever shutout on Feb. 18 at Robert Morris. Camryn Callaghan's sixth hat trick in the first seven games powered the Cincinnati lacrosse team to a 16-4 win over Kent State on Sunday afternoon. Callaghan currently leads the country in goals this season with 33.
